The Labour Relations Agency works with employees and employers to support and foster positive employment relations throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. This is accomplished through programs and services provided to unionized and non-unionized employees and employers.


Labour Standards Officers

Labour Standards Officers are available to assist employers and employees in understanding and applying Employment Standards legislation and regulations in Newfoundland and Labrador. These standards set the minimum terms and conditions that are permissible in workplaces in the province. They are also responsible for handling complaints from employers and employees when they believe the other party is not following the law.
